Changes have been underway for decades in the way medicine is being practiced; we are moving away from (what has often been criticized as) treating people as broken parts to be fixed, and toward a more holistic view on health and wellness. While both approaches have their pros and cons – and many critics – it’s a good idea to stay informed as to what these philosophies teach, and how they are being (or are expected to be) applied.
